It’s time!

imagesFall Back is one of my favorite things to do.  Since I have an extreme fondness for free stuff, getting an extra hour in my day geeks me out.  I grew up in the state where time stood still.  Indiana only succumbed to clock changing in its recent history.  Even though this is my 20th Fall Back in Chicago, it’s still novel to me.

This year’s Fall Back took on a more unique spin.  I went to Cleveland for Shawn’s dad’s funeral.  Bill, Steve and I did the whirlwind mourners’ trip in 26 hours.  Technically, we sprung ahead an hour on Friday. And then we fell back an hour on Saturday.  And now, we fall back an additional hour today.  And although I can’t prove it, the hours in the car seemed much longer than the norm.  So, my body clock could be a little out of whack.

Today, I woke up and sprung out of my bed ready to optimize my extra 60 minutes.  I know a lot of people like to use the time to sleep.  Not me, I want tangible productivity.  My pre-brunch shift plans were to write, laundry, treadmill (yes, I’m letting go of the negativity) AND change my furniture around.  Yesterday, in the car, I read everyone’s horoscopes by Cainer.  His accuracy is always spooky.  And given my recent unsuccessful and exhausting couch shopping, it was spookier than usual.

Sometimes you can sit on the same sofa, in the same room for weeks – or even years on end. Then one day, you just walk in and realise that if you move the furniture around, you can make the place totally different and a whole lot better. You don’t have to throw everything out and start all over again; you just have to give a creative shuffle to the existing components. Something like that is now happening in your broader ‘living space’. – CAINER’s Horoscope for Sagittarius

It’s time to get off this couch and Fall Back into some creative shuffling.
