Flashback Friday!

I continue to comb through my youth.  My baby book is less book and more like a 1963 to 1985 time capsule.  Here’s an essay I wrote at age 14 which is eerily accurate to my current beliefs.

“Who am I?”

Who am I?  I am a person.  A female person who is neither boy crazy or a tomboy but fits into (if there is such a thing) the category “weird.”   I’m weird because I’m different from most people.  One way in which I’m different is that I don’t mind being different.  I don’t care if people think I’m a queer, teacher’s pet, oddly dressed or ugly.  You might say I’m outspoken too.  Because I have a habit of saying the things I feel and if people don’t like it FINE!  They have minds too and their own opinions  bbbuuuuttttt I’m not going to say I agree with them just to make them happy.  I fight for what I believe.  I’m not really an emotional person.  But I am sentimental and sensitive.  I have this weird feeling too about helping people.  I like to help people,  Everyone if I could.  When I say helping I mean by taking care of people, teaching them, and helping them to understand things.  Especially kids, of all ages, I’d like to help.  This probably would fit into the category of kind and gentle.  Patience is another thing I sometimes have and sometimes don’t.  But when I lose my patience, I find my temper.  And boy is my temper a big one.  I am a strange person who can’t put down what she is thinking.  I know who I am.  But WHO ARE YOU?
