29 Day Challenge — It’s on!

Thanksgiving Contest - What Are You Thankful For?I worked out with Josh this morning.  He quizzed me on my dreadmill homework.  His ongoing goal for me is 20 minutes on the dreadmill daily.  He wants me to alternate my jogging sprint days with days walking on an increasing incline.  Of course, his quizzing took place as I was actually walking at a brisk 3.5mph on the dreadmill.  With his finger threateningly hovering over the incline button, I promised to get better.  I suggested a November challenge.  He asked me why wait.  And even though I committed to starting tonight, he still took me up to an 8 incline.

Introducing the 29 Day Challenge!

Why 29?  Because the 30th day is Thanksgiving and I won’t have access to a dreadmill at my parents.  😉

I’ve been thinking this is the perfect opportunity to focus on healthier living.  My body has been fighting off a cold or allergies or just old age.  I’m dragging.  I am tired.  And I look it.  I’m physically and literally feeling out of balance.  I’m percolating in some negativity.  And it’s making me cranky.   And it’s too easy to let everything slide and start anew in 2015.  As my personal trainer says, why wait?
