I kneed it!

My knee is getting better and better.  Stairs are still tricky aka painful but for the most part I’m in remission.  I served at Wood on Saturday night and Sunday brunch.  The guys let me have the back section for less steps.  I was asked to do a double on Sunday.  I respectfully declined.  I know my limitations.  At the end of my brunch shift, I had to bribe the busser to get stuff from the basement for me.  The stairs are my downfall.

I also trained with Josh on Saturday.  As he told me, there are plenty of other body parts other than the knee that we could work on.   Instead of the dreadmill, we did my cardio on the elliptical.  It’s a much smoother motion for my knee.  I’ll continue with it as my homework for a couple of weeks.  It’s the hinging aspect of my knee that is fragile.   It’s already much better than it was and I’ll keep monitoring it for improvement.

Today is Labor Day.  It’s the unofficial end of summer.  And boy, did I blow through that season?  But at least I planned for that.  I’m a planner and a list-maker. When I returned from the UK in July, I wrote down things I wanted to do before the end of summer.  And I did pretty well on the completion rate.  My niece Abby and her gal pal Sara helped me scratch off Moody’s yesterday following a fundraiser for Idle Muse Theatre at Marty’s.
